2: Save You Money
We could all do to save some money every now and then and though you might look at the price of a smartphone and think saving money is the opposite of what it is good for, once you have one, you would be surprised what it can do for you. There are apps for near enough everything out there, and as such, it won’t surprise you to learn that there are some specifically designed to help you save a few pennies here and there.

3: Test The Batteries on Your Remote Controls
Yes, this may sound like a surprise to you, but it is absolutely true, you are able to use your mobile phone as a means of testing what kind of battery you have left on your remote control. No more are you going to have to make late-night trips to the shop when your batteries have run out, and instead, you could simply launch the camera app on your phone.
After this, you will need to switch to the front-facing camera, point the remote at it, and then hold any button on the remote. There will be a light on your remote, and if this flashes brightly into the camera, then the batteries are fine; if they begin to flicker or appear dim, then you should consider changing them.
4: Monitoring your heart rate
It is a fact that Apple Watches have been saving lives but smartphones can also do the same and you don’t even need a smartwatch or heart rate monitor to take your pulse. There are several free and paid apps known for accurately monitoring your heart rate.
One such app for iPhone is Cardiio: Heart Rate Monitor which is free of cost. Another heart rate monitoring app is Instant Heart Rate: HR Monitor available for iOS, Android, and Windows. However, it’s not free.
Yes, we all have a smartphone, and we are all well aware of the practical features that come with owning one. That being said, there are many other features available on smartphones that you may not be aware of, which include but are not limited to the above.
