In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to increase the WooCommerce variation limit AND whether you need to lift it or not. If you need to generate a few hundred variations you don’t need to raise the limit. Here’s the code for increase the WooCommerce variation limit. You’ll need to paste this into your wp-config.php file like I show in the video:
Change the 250 to whatever you want your new variation limit to be. Although you could raise the limit into the thousands, you may not want to because it could put too much strain on your server. To combat this you can increase the memory limit using what I show in this tutorial: https://youtu.be/WmlGHje1V50
But even if you create thousands of variations successfully, having that many variations will probably slow down the product page for this variable product.
